1. Oregon
The Ducks traveled to Ohio State as 14 point underdogs but played the entire game as if they were the bully. The Oregon offense was thrilling to watch as CJ Verdell ripped off huge gains and the defense made clutch stops when needed. After the massive upset, the schedule gets much easier for the Ducks and the Playoff is a very realistic goal. The Ducks should get some much needed rest this week when they take on FCS Stony Brook.
2. UCLA
The Bruins got a bye week after thrashing LSU last weekend. Next up for the Bruins is another tough test with Jake Haener and the Fresno State Bulldogs coming to Pasadena this Saturday.
3. Arizona State
ASU cruised to a 37-10 victory over UNLV behind 125 rushing yards from QB Jayden Daniels. The first test for the Sun Devils comes this weekend with a trip to Provo to take on #23 BYU.
4. Colorado
The Buffs deserve a lot of credit for nearly defeating #5 Texas AM. Colorado played an outstanding game but ultimately fell 10-7. Another difficult opponent awaits with Minnesota coming to Boulder this Saturday.
5. Stanford
Stanford played awful in Week 1 but suddenly came to life in a dominant effort against USC that resulted in a 42-28 win. Can the Cardinal sustain this level of play when they face Vanderbilt this Saturday?
6. Utah
Utah's winning streak against BYU finally came to an end in a hostile environment in Provo. The Utes' goal of winning the Pac-12 is still intact and they have one more tune up game against San Diego State on Saturday.
7. USC
USC suffered a disheartening loss to Stanford this past weekend which resulted in Clay Helton finally being fired after being on the hot seat for years. Outstanding recruiter, Donte Williams, has been named Interim Head Coach and gets his first test in Pullman against WSU.
8. Oregon State
The Beavers bounced back from their loss to Purdue with a 45-27 win over Hawaii. Oregon State thinks they've found their quarterback after Chance Nolan put up 302 passing yards.
9. California
Normally, the Cal offense holds the Golden Bears back from winning games but against TCU it was actually the defense that didn't do it's part in a 34-32 loss.
10. WSU
Jayden de Laura looked like a budding star after throwing for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns against Portland State. The Cougs will look to keep moving forward with a victory over USC on the Palouse this Saturday.
11. Washington
The Huskies got dominated against Michigan, proving the loss to Montana was no fluke. UW now must hope they can win against Arkansas State this Saturday or they could be looking at another 0-12 season.
12. Arizona
Arizona played BYU close in Week 1 which inspired hope among the Wildcat faithful. That hope was dashed quickly against San Diego State as the Aztecs ran all over the men from Tucson in a 38-14 win.
