In what will be a weekly column, we provide you with our weekly predictions, picks against the spread and situational trends for Pac-12 programs.

Arizona State at USC (-11):

  • USC is 10-17-1 against the spread as a favorite since 2017.

  • ASU is 5-2 ATS as a road underdog under Herm Edwards.

  • The Sun Devils were 4-1-1 against the spread as an underdog last season.

Prediction: The two best teams in the Pac-12 South and the two best QB's in the Conference... This is going to be a fun one. Jayden Daniels and Kedon Slovis battle it out but USC's talent gives them just enough to pull out a hard fought win, 27-24 over the Sun Devils.

Arizona at Utah (-14):

  • The Wildcats are 5-15 against the spread as an away underdog since 2015.

  • The Utes are 25-12-1 ATS in conference games since 2016.

  • Utah has won and covered the spread as a favorite the last 4 seasons against U of A. This was preceded by Arizona covering and winning 4 consecutive games against Utah.

Prediction: The Utah defense allows some big passing plays but a talented Utah offensive line creates massive running lanes and plenty of time to throw as the Utes win big 34-17.

UCLA at Colorado (+6.5):

  • The home team has won 5 straight games outright in this series.

  • UCLA has only covered just 6 of their last 20 games as a favorite dating back to 2016.

  • Colorado covered all 4 games as a home underdog last season. In fact, the Buffs won 3 of those games outright.

  • 4 consecutive games have gone under the point total in this series.

Prediction: UCLA relies on a more talented roster and the experience of DTR to carry them to a close victory in Bolder as the Bruins win 31-28 but the Buffs cover the spread.

Stanford at Oregon (-8):

  • Since 2005, the Ducks have won 80 of their last 89 games outright, when they were favored at home. In fact, Oregon has won the last 18 games outright when they were favored at home.

  • Stanford has lost 6 straight games outright as a road underdog dating back to 2016.

  • Stanford was 0-5 against the spread on the road last season.

Prediction: Tyler Shough takes some time to adjust and Stanford hangs close in the first 3 quarters before the Ducks pull away for a 28-17 victory.

Washington State at Oregon State (-1.5):

  • Wazzu has won the last 6 games in this series.

  • The Beavers were tied for 2nd best in the nation against the spread last season at 9-3.

  • Oregon State has lost 13 of their last 14 games outright when an underdog at home dating back to 2016

Prediction: Jermar Jefferson makes the difference in this game as the Beavers rely on their star tailback to carry them to a close victory. Beavers prevail 27-24 in Corvallis.
